Job Title: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Psychology (CHEST) Job ID: 7594 Location: Hunter College Regular/Temporary: Regular

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Center for HIV/AIDS Educational Studies and Training (CHEST) at HUNTER COLLEGE OF THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (CUNY) invites applications for an open rank tenure track position. A strong research program that is compatible with the mission of CHEST is essential (see website - www.chestnyc.org). All candidates must have a doctoral degree and an active program of research that can enlist undergraduate and graduate students. Postdoctoral research experience is a plus. The potential to obtain external funding is necessary for junior rank and active funding is required for more senior candidates. The individual(s) hired would be appointed to the faculty in the department or program appropriate for their background and training (e.g., Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies) and have release time to conduct their research through CHEST. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to the candidate's scholarly and research interests, advising students and supervising graduate and undergraduate student research. An appointment to the CUNY doctoral faculty is possible, and credentials appropriate for that appointment are desirable. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to Master's and doctoral programs in Health Psychology and Clinical Science, and those with strong methodological and statistical backgrounds. Individuals with research areas that complement and enhance the current research conducted at CHEST are encouraged to apply, and we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in neurocognitive aspects of HIV, RCTs of behavioral interventions, internet-based HIV work, and community-based participatory research.
