(AP) ? The MTV Movie Awards are as much about the anticipated movies of the upcoming summer season as they are about the winning films of last year.

Rebel Wilson is hosting the Sunday night ceremony at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif. "Django Unchained" and "Ted" are the top nominees in the irreverent competition, where fans vote online for the winners in categories such as best fight, best kiss and best shirtless performance.

Wilson is also a nominee, up for female performance and breakthrough performance for her work in "Pitch Perfect." Stars from that film will open the movie awards with a musical medley.

The show also promises extended footage from next month's "Iron Man 3" and the world premiere of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" trailer. Stars from other summer films? including Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto from the "Star Trek" sequel and Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez from the "Fast & Furious" franchise ? will appear throughout the ceremony.

Hollywood has increasingly used the fan-driven MTV Movie Awards as a platform to promote its summer product and this year, the show was moved up from June to April to incorporate the entire blockbuster season, which begins in early May.

Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx and Emma Watson will receive special awards during Sunday night's two-hour broadcast. Brad Pitt, Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy, Kim Kardashian and Zac Efron are among the expected presenters.
